TAMPA, Fla. (July 24, 2009) – The University of South Florida announced the appointment of Dr. Karen DeSafey Liller as Dean of the Graduate School and Associate Vice President for Research and Innovation. Liller served in an interim capacity since August 2008. Her appointment will become permanent on August 1. Reporting jointly to the Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs and the Vice President for Research and Innovation, Liller will be responsible for leading and managing the Graduate School and building stronger collaborations with the Division of Research and Innovation. Dr. Karen Liller received her Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction with
Emphasis in Vocational Education and cognate in Public Health in 1988.
